Perspective under duress
Last Thursday I was at the dentist. For those that don't know, I am not a fan of the dentist. The current one I'm seeing, Dr. Copeland, is a wonderful person and professional. But I've had a long enough dental history - reads: braces, retainers, cavities, root canals and a class 3 bite - that I get anxious any time I go. But something important happened prior to my last appointment, I was handed the list of medical ailments to review in order to update my medical history.
When reviewing that list, and circling 'no' on everything, I was reminded of all I have to be grateful for. I have been dealt an "injustice" when it comes to my teeth but reading all the other things I am fortunate to not be affected by was s simple but important reminder.
