Having entered my mid thirties, I'm beginning to have some real history as an adult with this city. I've seen many changes since I beginning my involvement around the age of 24. I've seen neighborhoods come back to life and a broader level of excitement for what is to come despite the present challenges we must acknowledge and address.

But what has been even more thrilling over the past couple years and recent months, is to see my friends and acquaintances stepping into the roles that help steer or lead that change. We are growing up and stepping up to support our community because we believe in a need for action and ownership. There is plenty of work to be done, but personally knowing the people putting themselves on the front lines of the long road ahead, I can't help but be excited for the future.

Thank you to those that have stepped up and for being an example of how change begins and is realized. I am inspired by you.
